About the Dental Trivia Challenge

The Dental Trivia Challenge is a free game from The Kid's Place Pediatric Dentistry in Boerne, TX that helps kids learn how to take care of their teeth while they play. Each round asks 20 questions, chosen from a bank of nearly 300, and every answer comes with a quick fun fact so kids learn something even when they guess wrong.

What kids learn

Try a few sample questions

How many baby teeth do children have?
20. Kids have 20 baby teeth, and they eventually fall out to make room for permanent teeth.
How long should you brush your teeth?
2 minutes, twice a day. Two minutes is the magic number for getting every tooth clean.
How often should you replace your toothbrush?
Every 3 to 4 months. Old, frayed toothbrushes don't clean as well.
When should kids first visit the dentist?
By their first birthday or when the first tooth appears. Early visits help kids get comfortable and let the dentist check how teeth are developing.
What happens at a first dental visit?
A gentle exam, a cleaning and a chance to get to know the office. First visits are all about making kids comfortable.
What is the hardest substance in your body?
Tooth enamel, which is even harder than bone.

For parents and teachers

The game works on phones, tablets and computers with nothing to install, so it is easy to play together at home or in the classroom. Players race a 15-second timer, earn bonus points for speed and can add their name to the leaderboard.
